Women in Leadership Women in LeadershipRabina Baksh
Residence Wide Welcome Week Planner

Rabina Baksh is an undergraduate student at McMaster who exemplifies the qualities of leadership. Baksh first began to take on leadership roles in high school as part of the Student Council, the Grade 11 president, and the Grade 12 grad president. These roles involved executing and guiding students in event planning, administration, and team building. Two experiences that especially strengthened Baksh’s motivation to continue in leadership roles were as the Community Advisor and House Planner (HPA) in the McMaster residence, Brandon Hall. These roles involved supervision and guidance of approximately 500 students. The leadership experiences to have the most impact on Baksh involved interaction with people in a goal oriented atmosphere, meeting new people, achieving goals, and learning and developing new perspectives. Baksh believes that the desire to help, patience, an open personality, and the ability to take a stand make an outstanding woman leader.
