Women in Leadership Women in LeadershipErin Laende
Student Walk Home Attendent (SWAT) Coordinator

Community Advisor, Inter-Residence Council Representative, team member of the Emergency First Response team, Coordinator of Student Walk Home Attendant team, disabilities volunteer for Centre for Student Development, a varsity rugby player, and a member of choir and flute ensemble, can sum up some of the activities that Erin Laende has been involved in for the past 4 years at McMaster. An Arts and Science student who choose to get involved as she deems each activity to be an important addition to her academic life, Erin also believes her choice to get involved is partially inspired by Dr. Warner, program director of the Arts and Science program. “Dr. Warner has been known to have many projects on the go, from teaching at McMaster to being human rights advocates in the community, but despite it all, he always take time for people and is known as very down to earth”, something that Erin hopes to achieve in all stages of her life/leadership career. However, Erin is already on the road to success as a great leader with her patience, energy and enthusiasm, and most important of all, she takes time to connect with every individual she works with.
