Abstract

The Cancer Exchange Data System is based on the activity of five large Hospital of Madrid region. Until December 31, 1997, we have registered 21.946 tumors. The most frequently primary cancer site is the female breast (2646 cases) and Lung (2370 cases). The most frequently histology was Adenocarcinoma NOS (8140/3) with 5399 cases. 54,2% of cases was local extent of disease. The most important course of therapy was surgery (57,2% of all cases). 56,4% of patients was male and medium age was 64,5 year. At four year Follow-up 42,8% was death.The medium survival value was 63 months (95% confidence interval 60/67).
