Updates to Policies

Below is an email from the office of the Vice-President (Administration) sent to the McMaster community on November 14, 2013.

Recent Updates to Administrative and Financial Bylaws and Policies

In alignment with Forward with Integrity and the objective of simplifying and updating the University's business and administrative processes, the following Administrative and Financial bylaws and policies have been recently updated:

  • Execution of Instruments

  • AP01 - Reimbursement to Individuals for University Business

  • SP01 - Strategic Procurement

  • Engagement of Independent Contractors (ICQ)

  • Guidelines for Treatment of External Payments for Existing Employees (separated from prior ICQ policy)

Please note specifically in Execution of Instruments that authority levels have been revised with the intent of increasing discretion and flexibility. Language has also been updated to reflect Mosaic terminology.

We expect these changes will enhance service, reduce bureaucracy, simplify processes and delivery greater efficiency and effectiveness.
