Expert available to discuss Friday earthquakes through the lens of social media
Hamilton, Ont. May 17, 2013—They were over faster than you can type 140 characters, but the twin earthquakes that rattled Ontario and Québec on Friday morning sparked an instant reaction on social media. By noon, #earthquake was already trending on Twitter.
Alex Sévigny, director, Master of Communications Management Program, is available to comment on the use of social media to share information and discuss an event in real-time, and as the story unfolds.
