Political scientist available to discuss the impact of Duffy trial on the federal election campaign

HAMILTON, August 11, 2015: As the Mike Duffy trial resumes and converges with the federal election campaign, McMaster University political scientist Henry Jacek is available to comment on the political implications.

"The Duffy Trial will remind Canadian voters of the very poor appointments that Steven Harper has made to the Senate,” Jacek says. “The prime minister is expected to appoint senators of high integrity and to ensure that the appointee actually lives in the province the appointee is supposed to represent."

Henry Jacek is available at jacekh@mcmaster.ca and 905-525-9140, ext. 24557.
