The MacViP Human Resources/Payroll implementation was divided into several Releases. Release 1 (Physical Plant and Hospitality) and 2 (Graduate Students) went live in the fall of 2006. Release 3 (Temporary/Casual employees) went live in July and August of 2007. Release 4 (Regular employees) is planned for November, 2007.

In preparation for the Temporary/Casual go-live, close to 600 employees were trained on the MacViP system as Time Capturers, Time Approvers and Managers.

In order to have readily accessible MacViP training for new McMaster University employees, we have developed this online training program.  It will provide new employees with immediate access to training and subsequently to the MacViP production system.

Please note that when this online training program was developed, the MacViP project was not completed.  Therefore, there may be changes made to either the application or to business processes, which are not currently reflected in this training.  You should always confirm with your manager or supervisor the exact process that is used for processing employees’ time within your department.

This online training was developed using Camtasia 4.0 and the videos are best viewed using Internet Explorer 6 or Mozilla Firefox (Best resolution 1024 x 768 dpi) and Flash Player version 9.
