This is a very nice study. As a newcomer to STATs and MAPs I wonder how to balance the very large number of types of these molecules against the needs of an individual study. If one was to start a new project, from scratch on a new cell type ( or even a cell in a new species of animal ) would you suggest looking at ALL the STATs and all the MAPs,ERKs,JUNs etc. initially? How does one cut down the need for thousands of dollars in phospho-specific antibodies in approaching a study such as yours?
