Open Streets Hamilton: McMaster Edition

McMaster University is partnering with Open Streets Hamilton, and inviting the community to McMaster and Westdale to explore, learn and play. This event will be the first expansion of Open Streets Hamilton beyond James St North. Open Streets Hamilton is a community-based partnership dedicated to promoting active, healthy, and inclusive lifestyles by temporarily transforming streets into a shared space for everyone to experience.

The inaugural McMaster Edition celebrates McMaster's 125 year history and the 82 years that Hamilton has been its home. In addition to Open Streets Hamilton, please see the logos of our contributing partners below. Open Streets encourages exploration, active engagement and involvement of members within their communities. A shuttle will take participants between James Street North and the McMaster Edition, so plan to attend both segments of the event! See our promotional poster here.

Waste produced from this event will be responsibly disposed of by McMaster’s Facility Services in partnership with BFI. We encourage you to help us reduce our waste output by going plastic bottle free: bring a reusable water bottle for refill at one of the many water bottle filling stations throughout the event.
