Dr. Mo Elbestawi, Vice-President of Research and
International Affairs, initiated the International Revenue
Generation Taskforce to identify broad based international
activities for the purpose of generating revenues for the
University and establishing McMaster as a world class
university for education, research and global outreach.

The Taskforce was further directed to identify specific
actions that could be undertaken in the short term to
achieve these goals.to identify broad based international
activities for the purpose of generating revenues for the
University and establishing McMaster as a world class
university for education, research and global outreach.

FFiona McNeilliona McNeill was appointed McMaster's new Associate Vice-President Research. “Dr. McNeill’s research program has been highly multi-disciplinary and her interactions across departments, faculties and universities have been extensive. She is known for her ability to foster and build consensus around new initiatives and played a key role in developing the degree diploma program in Medical Radiation Sciences," said Mo Elbestawi.Read the Daily News Announcement 
Nick Markettos was promoted to Assistant Vice-President, Research Partnerships. His primary focus will be on strategic initiatives, commercialization of research results and interface with the McMaster Innovation Park. In his new role, Nick will provide leadership for activities central to the mission of the University and the research enterprise, establishing strategic partnerships with public and private sector stakeholders while creating new opportunities for internal collaborations amongst researchers and staff.
