LinkedIn Learning offers a customized learning experience that features instructional content relevant to the learner’s professional interests and goals. Active McMaster students, faculty and staff have free, unlimited access to video tutorials related to business, media and technology through LinkedIn Learning, a self-service training site.

Frequently Asked Questions

LinkedIn recommends connecting or creating a LinkedIn profile to receive enhanced product features (such as retaining course history even after you’ve left McMaster University) and more personalized content recommendations.

LinkedIn takes your privacy seriously, so only your basic information (e.g., name, job title, skills, photo) will be shared with McMaster University. McMaster University will not have access to any private activity from your personal LinkedIn account.

The activation link that you receive from LinkedIn Learning after the upgrade expires after 14 days.

To create a collection from the course page: 

  1. Log in to your?LinkedIn Learning?account. 
  2. Navigate to your desired course. 
  3. Click the?••• More?icon. 
  4. Click?Add to collection. 
  5. From the?Add to collection?pop-up window that appears, click?+?Create new collection. 
  6. In the?Create a new collection?window, enter a?Title?and?Description?(if desired). 
  7. Click?Create. 
  8. Click??Share?next to the collection you wish to share with others.
