Office 365 Pro Plus

Office 365 ProPlus is the recommended version of Microsoft Office as it provides leading productivity and collaboration tools as well as app consistency across our organization. Office 365 ProPlus can be installed on up to 5 devices as well unlimited mobile devices for iOS, Android, & Windows Phone.


Before you upgrade, we recommend contacting your IT Support team to make sure that installing Office 365 ProPlus will not impact any of your current settings or applications.


How to Sign In

  1. Step 1: Find your MacID and password.
  2. Step 2: When you sign in, enter your MacID followed by "@mcmaster.ca" into the top field. For example, if your MacID were "smithj," you would enter "smithj@mcmaster.ca".
  3. Step 3: Enter your password into the lower field.

Features and Benefits

  1. There is no charge for this service.
  2. Available to all full-time and part-time employees.
  3. Desktop applications include: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, & OneNote. Windows desktop installations also include Publisher & Access.
  4. Provides access to collaboration tools and apps: Teams, Planner, & more.

Email Not Included

It should be noted that undergraduate, graduate, staff, and faculty email services will NOT be available through the Office 365 suite. Staff and Faculty will continue to use the MacMail service and all students will continue to use the Studentmail service powered by Google.


Accessibility in Office 365

Office 365 works with screen readers, speech recognition tools, and keyboard shortcuts. When using the Office 365 portal or any of the Office Online applications, you can also use the accessibility features built in to your web browser. Visit the Accessibility in Office 365 page on the Microsoft Support website for additional information regarding accessibility features in Office 365.
