Lab Bookings

There are two ways in which a lab can be booked for a specific course


  1. The registrar's office books the course for the times required.
  2. The course instructor can submit a request online for the dates and times required.

    1. To submit a request online, go to the Service Desk Self Service page and log in.
    2. Select Option 7, Teaching and Learning.
    3. Select Lab Booking Request
    4. Fill in all the details and then select Submit
    5. You will be advise when the lab has been booked for you.

Software Requests for UTS Labs

Instructors may request specific software to be installed on the UTS Labs computers. Instructors are responsible for providing the software and proof of appropriate licensing prior to the software installation. Under no circumstances will software be installed without providing appropriate licensing.


A minimum of 15 business days is required to preform a software installation. Requested software must be tested by the requester at least 5 business days before class/course commencement.


  1. To submit a request online, go to the Service Desk Self Service page and log in.
  2. Select Option 7, Teaching and Learning.
  3. Select Request Lab Software Installation
  4. Fill in all the details and then select Submit
  5. You will be advise when the lab has been software has been installed and is ready to test.
