Your Mac ID is your unique identifier used to access the computing environment at McMaster University. Student, faculty and staff accounts give access to email, library, administrative systems, and other resources.

Services that facilitate administrative systems and resources. Includes DocuSign eSignature and Mosaic (Student Administration, Finance, HR, Research Administration, and Facilities Maintenance Management).

Services that facilitate university communications and collaboration. Includes e-mail, calendaring,  telephony, teleconferencing, MacDrive, and Network File Shares

Remote and On-Site computer hardware and software support services, Software Licensing including Office 365 for Staff and Students, IT Equipment Disposal, NetReg support, and Provisioning of Hardware and Software.

Enterprise-level hardware, software, systems, and network infrastructure that provide underlying support for university activities. Includes data centers, network backbone, wireless, central storage and system backup solutions, server virtualization, and systems management and operations.

Services that are consultative in nature, in contrast to the other technology based services.

Services that manage identity and authorization for access to services using Mac ID accounts through single sign-on. Additionally, UTS Security provides security and infrastructure services to provide protection from viruses and malicious activity, data security, network vulnerability scanning, security audits and consulting and security guidelines.

Technology and resources directly supporting teaching and learning. Includes UTS Supported Computer labs, LinkedIn Learning, and Avenue 2 Learn.
