MAC ID

MAC ID is a unique, common identifier enabling single sign-on for a number of McMaster systems and applications.

Your MAC ID is not your employee or student number.

Email

UTS provides a central mail and calendaring host running Microsoft Exchange. MacMail, as it is called, is the host machine for faculty, staff, and retirees. It incorporates both email and calendaring for users. MacMail can be accessed via web browser by navigating to https://macmail.mcmaster.ca. MacMail can also be configured on clients such as Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird or AppleMail. Instructions on how to configure these email clients can be found at http://macmailhelp.mcmaster.ca.

McMaster StudentMail powered by Google is for undergraduate and graduate students. This email application is part of a larger suite of programs entitled G-Suite (formerly Google Apps for Education) which includes calendaring, cloud storage and Google Documents.
