Poster 433

Carla Cioni

Dr. Amano,
interesting poster. It is shown in Figs. 2,3 that the uptake rates of Zr
tracer in aged mice have the highest values and the largest regional
differences. In particular, the uptake rate increases in the hippocampus,
cerebellum and striatum, but it decreases in the cortex. Have you any
explanation for the decrease in the cortex? Did the BBB-responsible structures
(i.e. endothelial cells and astroglial cell terminal processes)undergo
morphological variations in the different brain regions due to aging?

Thank you.

Carla Cioni.
