Data in tables are from chronic bronchitis, because our Pharmacoepidemiology Network rejects antibiotic medical prescriptions with acute bronchitis diagnose, as this diagnose generally doesn't need antibiotic therapy, even though there might be prescriptions with missdiagnoses in order to obtain antibiotics. Frequency is the stated in table.
By Primary Care Guidelines in Cuba, antibiotics recommended for brochitis are amoxycillin,phenoxymethylpenicillin, benzylpenicillin, procaine penicillin, cotrimoxazole, tetracyclines and erythromycine.
