Abstract

Today it is possible carry out meetings of telemedicine through of Internet, however, not all the hospital Medical Units count on the costly infrastructure to carry them to end. In the case of the Intensive Care Units, this last is not exception. For such Units has great value count on the communication in real time between different Medical Services, sometimes separated to thousands of kilometers, in order to exchange experiences, to discuss case problems and to update the knowledge. The communication in real time is a high efficiency tool. The text-conference is definitely a route to achieve this interrelationship between the Intensive Care Units. The UNINET network counts already with a space, devoted to the intensivist; MINTENSIVA it is the channel of IRC offeree by the uninet'servers. Here, each Sunday, the medical specialists of different countries intensive care of the world, are gathered and, given the interdisciplinary characteristic of the specialty, share experiences with other related specialties. We believe necessary, to increase these meetings and to encourage the consensus between Intensivists, and theirs respective Units, basing us on the geographical diversities, emphasizing the capital importance of the fact that the communication will be clear, specifies, and rigorous.
