Do You Know the Signs of a "Bad Trip" or Overdose?

If a friend overdoses or has a bad trip, know the signs so you can help!

KNOW THE SIGNS:

  • slow, shallow breathing
  • slurred speech
  • poor coordination
  • rapid or slow pulse
  • high or low body temperature
  • big or small pupils
  • flushed face or gray colouring
  • bluish lips
  • heavy sweating
  • racing heart
  • uncontrolled twitching or seizures
  • drowsiness
  • delusional and/or hallucinations

DON'T BE AFRAID TO CALL FOR HELP:

  • Deal with the consequences (if any) later.
  • Your friend's life may depend on your actions.
  • Never leave the person alone.
  • Don't attempt to give them anything by mouth.
  • Do not attempt to give another drug to counteract the effect of the first one.
  • Don't take any chances!! Call Security or an Ambulance.

BE CAREFUL:

If your friend suddenly becomes aggressive or hostile, be careful. Remove yourself from the situation if at all possible and call security to handle the situation.
