Other areas that had been contacted were able to appoint their representatives in time for our second meeting so the necessary introductions were made.
The Chair briefly recapped the mandate and purpose of the group (see Oct 28th meeting notes).
The Advisory Group received for information the list of vendors & total purchase $ of computer purchases at McMaster , broken down into admin, research, etc. for both Bookstore and Purchasing Services transactions over the past 6-12 months.
A draft RFP prepared by Terry Galan was circulated to the group and we began discussions on the content. Suggestions for changes, updates should be sent to Terry prior to our next meeting. Several members were asked to consult their constituencies for input on sections 7 (General Specifications) and 8 (Standard Configurations) in particular.
