Vice-President (Administration)

Responsibilities

Responsible for the planning, development and application of the University’s administrative and support services, the Vice-President (Administration) reports directly to the President & Vice-Chancellor and is the University’s chief administrative officer. The Vice-President (Administration) ensures that all financial, physical, systems and human resources are effectively utilized and works closely with members of the McMaster community to address challenges and opportunities facing the University. He is also responsible for the operations of a number of ancillary services.

The following positions report directly to the Vice-President (Administration):

Also reporting to the Vice-President (Administration) are the Director of Housing and Conference Services (jointly reporting to the Associate Vice-President (Students and Learning) and Dean of Students), the Director of Hospitality Services, the Organizational Design and Change Management Consultant (jointly reporting to the Provost), and the Manager of Internal Audit (jointly reporting to the Chair of the Audit Committee of the Board of Governors.)

The Vice-President (Administration), along with the other Vice-Presidents and Provost, oversees the operations of the University and is instrumental in recommending new policies.
