Inspiring Transformation — CAW Pension Plan for New Employees
— Project Outline

Goal

Using McMaster HRIS, configure the parameters needed to assign CAW employees hired May 1, 2010 and later to the new pension plan as defined in the collective bargaining agreement.
This contractual change is required in order to provide the accurate calculation of pension entitlements for members of this new plan. The functionality will also be embedded in the Online Pension Calculator and will include the ability to generate the annual statements as well as the necessary letters and forms needed for departing employees.

Define the detailed requirements for the new pension plan as described in the collective agreement and review with the software supplier DLGL
Identify and apply the configuration changes needed to identify employees who qualify for membership in the new plan
Build detailed test cases and scripts that will be used to verify the pension calculations for all possible combinations of eligibility
Merge these new test cases with those already developed for the Online Pension Calculator
Engage Mercer to verify the calculations
