Department of Pediatrics
The Department of Pediatrics is seeking one full-time faculty pediatric respirologist to join a committed team. The successful applicant will be considered as a clinician-educator; sharing responsibility for education and research in pediatric respirology as well as comprehensive clinical services, including outpatient clinics and consultation to hospital in-patients.
The position will incorporate an academic appointment appropriate to the qualifications and expertise of the applicant. We offer a collegial atmosphere, a unique academic environment, many research opportunities and the opportunity to work in a growing academic department with enthusiastic colleagues.
McMaster University is internationally recognized for innovations in medical education and pioneering biomedical, epidemiological and health systems research. McMaster University is affiliated with McMaster Children’s Hospital (MCH), the pediatric regional referral centre for a population of more than 2.3 million in south central Ontario. MCH has 150 acute care beds and a full range of specialized inpatient services.
Successful candidates will be eligible for an academic appointment at McMaster University and will be eligible to practice in the Province of Ontario without supervision and hold certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons. However, we also encourage applications from well-qualified physicians Board-Eligible/Board-Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics (who are eligible for an academic license to practice without taking Canadian examinations). Rank and salary will be commensurate with training and experience.
