Tenure-Track Position
Applications are invited for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Department of Economics at McMaster University commencing July 1, 2013. The field of the position is Empirical Industrial Organization. The Department is especially interested in candidates with research interests in the automotive industry that would complement existing and growing strengths of the university in that area.
Preference will be given to candidates who have completed their PhD or who expect to complete their PhD requirements prior to July 1, 2013.The Department of Economics is a research-intensive academic unit. The appointee will be expected to conduct an independent research program yielding significant peer-reviewed publications, attract peer-reviewed research funding, teach undergraduate and graduate students and supervise doctoral students.
Deadline for applications is March 30th, 2013 and should include an application letter, a curriculum vitae, research papers (including a job market paper) and a short research summary, evidence of teaching effectiveness (if applicable), and three confidential letters of reference.
