Canada Research Chair Tier 2 Position, Tenure-Track - Water and Health

The Faculty of Engineering at McMaster University is seeking an outstanding individual for a tenure-track position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the general area of “Water and Health”. It is expected that the successful candidate will be nominated for a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair position, with the appointment being in either Chemical or Civil Engineering, beginning July 1, 2014.

The Faculty has a high reputation, in both research and teaching, as one of the top Engineering programs in Canada. Both the Chemical and Civil Engineering Departments are undergoing a period of dynamic development. We are looking to strengthen and expand our research areas and are particularly interested in candidates with research expertise/interests in wastewater engineering, specifically related to health and/or energy issues.

Candidates must have a Doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering or Civil Engineering, or in a closely related discipline. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to teaching in both the graduate and undergraduate programs of the home department. Registration or eligibility for registration, as a Professional Engineer in Ontario, is required.
