Information and Communications Standard

Information and Communications Standard is part of AODA integrated standards released in June 2011 by Ontario legislative body. It requires McMaster University to provide information in an accessible format, which includes web sites and information published on them.

Complete Integrated Accessibility Standards under AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with disabilities act) can be found online:http://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/html/source/regs/english/2011/elaws_src_regs_r11191_e.htm#BK19

The following information is derived from the Information and Communications standard and provided in a succinct format.

This information has been created to facilitate the understanding of the legislation and does not replace the official version of the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation, Ontario Regulation 191/11 and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA). If there is any conflict between this information and the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation or the AODA, the regulation and the AODA are the final authorities.
