Audio description is provided for all prerecorded video content.


When the video content provides details that aren't adequately covered in the dialogue, it is difficult for a visually impaired person to grasp the context or situation of the video content. A solution to this issue is to provide a secondary audio track or an alternate video that has the alternate audio track in it. This secondary audio track has audio descriptions of what is happening in the video.


Note that this isn't required for streaming video content, but that the streaming video content must still have closed captioning available in the audio channel. To get a better idea of how audio descriptions are implemented, you can watch some public domain movies that were made accessible through a YouTube channel (found below References).


Under Part 2 of the Integrated Accessibility Standards, you are not required to conform to this section.
