Hummingbird Software Terms

Eligibility

Both of the following conditions must be met:

  1. Software is available to faculty, staff, graduate students and undergraduate students to use on campus or at home.
  2. The customer must be a full or part time, currently enrolled, degree-seeking undergraduate or graduate student or a faculty member, administrator or staff member working in a university department.

Eligibility is only for the duration of employment or enrolment at the university.


License Terms

  1. You may copy the program into any machine readable or printed form for backup or modification purposes in support of your use of the program on the authorized machine.
  2. You may not use, copy, modify, or transfer the program, or any copy, modification or merged portion, in whole or in part, except as expressly provided for in the license.
  3. You must reproduce and include the copyright notice on any copy, modification or portion merged into another program.


Support

Support for Hummingbird software is available through the UTS Service Desk at ext. 24357(2HELP). Vendor support for this site license software is through designated individuals, please do not contact Hummingbird directly. Products supported:

HostExplorer Version 6.x

NFS Maestro Version 6.x

The Hummingbird software installed on your machine is a collection of programs and utilities. Not all of these components are supported since most perform specialized functions not widely used by most users. The components that are fully supported are:


Windows Components:

         HostExplorer (Telnet & TN3270)
         FTP
         NFS
         Ping
         TraceRoute
         Finger
         NSLookup
