Unable to open a Word file with the extension .docx
If you receive the error message " The file was created by a newer version of Microsoft Word. Do you want to download a compatability pack so that you can work with this file?" click on OK.
Microsoft Office will download the compatability tool if it has the update capability. Alternatively, the tool can be downloaded here.
You are reminded to keep your copy of Microsoft Office updated with the latest patches using the Microsoft Update Tool. You have the option to update both the Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office.
