Mail Setup for iPhone

Audience: McMaster Faculty & Staff

Select Setup on your Blackberry home screen.
Select Email Accounts under Setup Section.
Select Internet Mail Account
Enter blackberry ID account Username and Password, then Select Continue. If account has never been created, it will prompt to create account.
Select Add An Email Account.
Input Email address (ex. macid@mcmaster.ca) then email password. Click Next.
It will try to auto populate IMAP Settings and it will fail and prompt for user to select settings. Select POP/IMAP.
Reinput Email address and email password.
Under email server : univmail.cis.mcmaster.ca
Username will be macid
Select Next
Under General Settings
Email account name: Mcmaster Mail
Reply to: Will enter mcmaster email address
Your Name: Name
Password: Email password
Signature: Message that will be attached when email is being sent from blackberry.
Deleted Items: Keep the checkbox on synchronize deleted items between this mailbox and my device.
Select Advanced Settings
Within advanced settings: Checkbox that SSL is selected. Select Save.

Your email is now fully set up!

McMaster is strengthening its password system and all MAC ID passwords established before February 19, 2013 must be changed.
