Preparing for daylight saving time changes in 2007

  • DST Start date: March 11, 2007

  • DST End date: November 4, 2007

The Daylight Saving Time change impacts everyone using a computer or electronic device with Date and Time capabilities. There may be updates or patches made available by the vendor to adjust to the new Daylight Saving Time.

Customers using Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office are affected by the Daylight Saving Time change and should apply the necessary patches or updates to reduce the probability of a mishap.

Everyone is asked to give extra attention to meetings and appointments scheduled between March 11, 2007 to April 1, 2007 and October 28, 2007 to November 4, 2007. You may have to manually adjust meeting times by 1 hour during these periods.

The Energy Policy Act of 2005 made changes to the start and end dates of Daylight Saving Time beginning in 2007. The Ontario Provincial Government has also adopted the Daylight Saving Time change. This change may adversely affect most computer systems and electronic devices with the capability to adjust for Daylight Savings Time. There may be updates or patches made available by the vendor to adjust to the new Daylight Saving Time.
