Configuring a Macintosh OSX connection to Office Server Shares
- From a blank Desktop, press and hold the apple button while pressing the K key. Or, click Go and then click Connect to Server.
- In the Server Address box type smb://osX.cis.mcmaster.ca/sharename$
X is the office share number and sharename is the office shares name. For example, the q: drive is smb://os1.cis.mcmaster.ca/deptcommon$
- Next a window will pop-up that asks for your Workgroup or Domain, your Name, and password. The Workgroup/Domain is "AP1" and your Name and Password are your MAC ID/AP1 username and password. Click on OK
