Connecting to a network printer on MAC OSX
- On the Desktop click Finder in the Menu Bar or Apple icon in the top left corner.
- Select System Preferences and then Print & Fax.
- Check that the active tab is Printing.
- Click on the + sign.
- Click on IP Printer.
- Under Protocol select HP Jet Direct-Socket if connecting to an HP printer.
Note: the system will verify the IP Address entered and populate the name field if valid. - Change the Name field to something more meaningful like HP LaserJet ...
- Leave the Queue field blank.
- Click on Print Using and select the printer model/driver. Click on Add and then Continue.
- Click on the Red button and Save.
