Configuring Macintosh OS X Mail for use with Univmail
When you first run Mail, a configuration screen prompts you to setup an email account.

Click Continue.

For account type, select IMAP. Type your full name in the Full Name field( ex. John Smith). Type in your McMaster email address in Email Address.

The Incoming Mail Server should be set to "univmail.cis.mcmaster.ca". Username will be your email user name, often the first part of your email address ( example. username@mcmaster.ca).
UTS recommends that you leave the password field blank.

Click Continue.

Click Continue.

Make sure that Use Authentication is checked and verify your Email User Name.

Click Continue.

Click Continue.

Click Continue.

Click Done.

Click the Get Mail icon. This will download your folders and mail from the Univmail server.

Enter your Email password.
Click Mail and then Preferences. Then select Accounts.

Now select Server Settings(near the bottom).

Click Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). In Server port type in 465.
Click OK. Close the Accounts window by clicking the X in the top left corner.
Mail is now setup to work with your Univmail account.
