Setting up a Corporate Calendar Designate

Designates are users who have been granted the rights to create and modify Agenda entries on behalf of another user.

Step 1. (In the Calendar account to be managed)

  1. Open the Oracle Calendar login window (Start -> All Programs -> Oracle Calendar). Logon with the username and password of the account to be managed and click on Sign-In.
  2. Click on Tools in the menu bar and select Access Rights.

  3. In the Designate Tab, enter the designates MAC ID (example dawnjo) into the text box and click on the button with the check mark. The designate name should now be shown under "Default: Any unlisted person." Alternatively, use the magnifying glass button to locate the desginate..
  4. Select the designate and click on "Full designate rights". This will give the designate full rights to your calendar. Alternatively, you may modify what rights he or she may have in accessing your calendar.

  5. Complete steps 3 & 4 for each person you want to have designate rights to your calendar.
  6. Click the OK button to close the Access rights window.
  7. Exit the calendar (File > Exit)

The designate now has access to your calendar from his or her calendar.

Step 2. (Working as a designate)

  1. Log into your calendar as yourself.
  2. From the file menu click on File > Open as Designate > Agenda ...
  3. An "Act as Designate" window will open with all the names of the agendas that you have access to. Select the agenda you would like and click the OK button. Another window will open with the calendar for your use.
