Restoring the default settings on a BlackBerry

General Guideline - Contact the carrier's Technical Support if you have questions or concern.

All data is permanently removed from the handheld device.

  1. Turn on the BlackBerry device.

  2. Select Options

  3. Select Security

  4. Select General Settings

  5. Press in the Track wheel

  6. Select Wipe Handheld

  7. Enter information as requested on device and confirm only if you are confident.

If you have an older BlackBerry model like the 6750 use the instructions below.

  1. Select Options

  2. Select Security

  3. Select Password

  4. Select Change Option

  5. Select Enable. Enter a password, verify the password and save.

  6. Select Password

  7. Select Change Option

  8. Select Disable.

  9. Press the wheel and select Save.

  10. At the password prompt enter the wrong password. You will have to do this about 10 times. Enter information as requested on device and confirm only if you are confident.
