UTS transformation and realignment
Hybrid Model based on Cooperation direction revealed the need for a streamlined structure to enable a renewed focus on the goals of Vision 2020. To support the action items identified, UTS has launched a realignment to complement UTS organization structure while supporting Universities objectives. As a result, the following roles have been posted and filled:
- Lead Architect - Wayde Nie
- Manager IT Operations - Gerry Gysbers
- Manager Network - Mike Diggins
- Team Lead Technical Support - Deridor Collier
- Manager, Database - Matt Yardley
- Lead Developer - Mark Roch
- Business Systems Specialist - Mark Russom
- Sr. Manager, Application Development - Sue Pennington
- Project Coordinator - Doris McGuire
Below mentioned positions have been posted to be filled, pending the next steps of the hiring process:
- Team Lead Service Desk
- Systems Integration Specialist Security and Risk
- Manager Servers and Storage
- Manager, Integrated Web Services
The holistic approach necessitated by this organizational alignment will serve to assist in breaking down long-standing silos and encourage a new level of interdisciplinary technology cooperation. The horizontally integrated nature of these roles will ensure that they work closely together in providing their technical services across academic and administrative units at McMaster.
