Please note all below site licensed software must be picked up by the university employee and installed on the university owned computer.

SPSS

SPSS

License Year: January 1st - December 31st. Licenses must be renewed annually.

Cost:

Individual licenses - $110/license/year

Network concurrent licenses - $125/license/year.

 

How to acquire:

New and Renewal Licenses


SPSS licenses are now available for staff and faculty use through MacMicro in Titles Bookstore . Please visit Titles for both new and renewal licenses

 

Eligibility:
All McMaster employees are eligible to install this software on the McMaster owned computer. Full time faculty is eligible to install it on home computer if using for university business. McMaster employees working in hospitals affiliated with McMaster University may also purchase SPSS license.


SAS

SAS

Cost: $120 per license year/per computer

How to acquire

Eligibility:
All McMaster employees are eligible to install this software on the McMaster owned computer. Full time faculty is eligible to install it on home computer if using for university business. (SAS requires a home use agreement be signed by end user).


Maple

Maple

Cost: $220 per license year/per computer

How to acquire:

Eligibility:
All McMaster employees are eligible to install this software on the McMaster owned computer located at 1280 Main St. West only (hospital occupants are excluded).


Matlab

Matlab (for Windows and Unix)

Cost: $158.85 per license year/per computer

How to acquire:

  • Contact UTS Service Desk with the departmental account number at uts@mcmaster.ca or ext. 24357
  • Receive download instructions

Cost: Cost of license is paid for by the Faculty of Engineering and is at no additional cost to licensees.

ZoomText

McMaster Libraries have entered into a purchase agreement with AiSquared for the licensing of ZoomText Magnifier/ScreenReader. Additional 5 packs of this software can be purchased by McMaster University departments at a reduced cost. Contact Kathleen Fletcher for further information.
