McMaster University is using SAS for their Business Intelligence needs. Business Intelligence has capabilities to integrate data from across the University and deliver self-service reporting and analysis including statistics, predictive analytics, data and text mining, forecasting, and optimization

Citrix XenApp is a technology solution that allows users to access published (or shared) applications through a web interface. Applications are installed on the Citrix XenApp servers and then accessed using the client browser, allowing many OS platforms to run the applications (Windows, Linux, Mac). Citrix is the method used to connect to specific McMaster applications - MacVIP (Payroll) and SAS BI/FM.

Recommended web browsers are Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.

An online repository of reports has been created to provide FAS (Financial Accounting System) and MVS (Mainframe) reports in the electronic format. Reports are provided in CSV format that are easily sortable.

FAS reports are accessed using your Mac ID at: https://adweb.cis.mcmaster.ca/CIS/FASreports

MVS reports are accessed using your Mac ID at: https://adweb.cis.mcmaster.ca/CIS/MVSreports

There is no cost for this service. This service saves departments on paper and report transportation and delivery.

Reports are released on a weekly basis. Newly released reports will be kept in the repository for 2 weeks. HRIS is Human Resources Information System that is available to designated administrators.

The Online Grades Submission Tool is a system which provides the ability for Instructors to submit their student's Final Grades electronically, with an approval process for Faculty and Departments to approve the grades. Once final approval is achieved, the grades are uploaded to the Student Record on the Student Information System.
