Wireless Access on Campus
McMaster University has WiFi in most public areas ready. Mobile users may invoke an Internet browser, log in with their Mac ID in order to get connected to the Wireless network.

All student residences are equipped with one phone per bed space. Each phone is assigned its own extension number that is not published in the McMaster directory. Voicemail is established or can be rerecorded by a resident. Initial voicemail password will be provided during the Move-in weekend.
The new lines are installed only at a request by Residence administration.

Network jacks are provided in office areas and labs as part of building infrastructure. Additional network jacks can be requested at departmental expense.

Access to on campus resources from home or any other off campus location is possible through VPN. VPN must be installed and your MAC ID used in order to make a connection..
