Safe Practices

The safe practices detailed within these pages are intended to provide all users with information about the threats to information technology that may put their systems at risk.  Included is valuable advice to help protect systems.

Technology is constantly evolving; as technology changes, so does the threat landscape.  But don’t panic: As information security professionals, the members of the IT Security team take a great interest in the analyzing and understanding these threats.  Watch these pages for updates as new threats emerge.  IT Security welcomes and encourages the feedback of all McMaster University users in the continuous improvement and development of these safe practices.
