Photo ID FAQ

Retirees are encouraged to replace their current blue ID cards with the new Photo ID cards that allow the following services:

  • Photo ID
  • Access Control (controlled access to various buildings/labs/stairwells)
  • Meal Plan (Activated in Commons Building 128)
  • Library (ability to get books)
  • Pulse (Gym)
  • Verification purposes

In order to obtain a Photo ID card you must come in person to McMaster Univeristy Burke Science Building (BSB) Room 245. There is no appointment necessary and the hours are Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Please bring the following documents with you:

  • The old blue card
  • Your employee number
  • Government issued photo ID (e.g. health card, driver's license)
