Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Planning

Disaster Recovery Planning and Business Continuity Planning (DRP/BC) for UTS supported systems and services are currently underway with expected completion of plans and testing by early 2013. The deliverables expected from this exercise are:

  • Disaster Recovery Framework and Governance
  • Identification of key IT components and determination of recovery objectives
  • IT Disaster Recovery Plan development
  • IT gap assessment and remediation planning
  • Backup and Recovery Procedures
  • IT Disaster Recovery Plan Testing
  • Network Infrastructure Redundancy Plan

The DRP/BC will be an on-going program that will be updated annually with appropriately scheduled audits and testing.  Assistance in developing plans and coordinating testing for department and faculty Information Technology services will be available upon completion of the first cycle of this program.
