All new students (undergraduate and graduate, medical students, etc.) are required to Activate their MAC ID and Enable Services on MUGSI.

To get a MAC ID, go to MUGSI.

If you need to use a computer in a student computing lab to activate your MAC ID, please speak with one of the student consultants in the lab about a temporary login ID that you can use for this purpose.

• Click on ‘Activate Your MAC ID'
• Follow all the prompts to complete the registration.
• Choose a strong password: it has to be at least 8 characters long, and has to include at least one character from two of the four groups below:
  • Uppercase letters: A, B, C, ...Z
  • Lowercase letters: a,b,c, ..z
  • Numerals: 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9
  • Symbols on the keyboard that aren't letters or numerals: ~ ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( )_ + - = { } | [ ] \ : " ; ' < > ? , . /
