MAC ID Services for Students

The information on this page is not for applicants. Refer to your acknowledgment email for instructions on how to activate your MAC ID and check the status of an application in the portal (https://applicants.mcmaster.ca).

Your MAC ID account provides authenticated access to the following services:

  • Student Technology Services Print Services
    Printing is provided on a fee-for-service basis in all Student Computer Labs
  • Email
    UTS provides Studentmail Powered by Google for both undergraduate and graduate student mail.
  • Avenue to Learn
    Avenue to Learn is a web-based course management system.
  • ESL Support @ Mac
    English as a Second Language
    English as a Third Language
    English as an Additional Language
    English as an International Language
    Whatever English is for you, we welcome you!
  • LibAccess
    Allows current and retired McMaster faculty and staff and currently registered students to access licensed e-Resources.
  • MacSecure
    MacSecure is a secured wireless network available in common areas across campus. When correctly configured on your laptop or handheld device, you will automatically connect to MacSecure when you are in a wireless area without addtional need for log in.
  • MacVote
    McMaster's Online Voting System currently used by the University Secretariat
  • Mosaic
    Mosaic allows students to perform tasks, such as: Enroll into classes, view complete grade and course history, make transcript requests online, enable Your MAC ID services, and access the Mosaic Student Center which provides access to academic, personal and financial information.
  • Student Health Services
  • Virtual Private Network (VPN)
    VPN is a network that uses a public network to transfer information using secure methods

Citrix Receiver Client Update

UTS asks Citrix users to upgrade Citrix Receiver Client to the most current version by February 28, 2017. See UTS Citrix website for installation and removal information.
