MAC ID Services for Students

Your MAC ID account provides authenticated access to the following services:

  • Student Technology Services Print Services
    Printing is provided on a fee-for-service basis in all Student Computer Labs
  • Clean Access
    Public area network access ports are available at various locations across the McMaster campus.
  • Email
    UTS provides one central mail hosts running Communigate Pro, a web based email application. UnivMail is the host machine for graduate students and McMaster StudentMail is the host machine for undergraduate students.
  • ESL Support @ Mac
    English as a Second Language
    English as a Third Language
    English as an Additional Language
    English as an International Language
    Whatever English is for you, we welcome you!
  • LibAccess
    Allows current and retired McMaster faculty and staff and currently registered students to access licensed e-Resources.
  • MacConnect
    Public area network access ports are available at various locations across the McMaster campus.
  • MacVote
    McMaster's Online Voting System currently used by the University Secretariat
  • MUGSI
    The MUGSI intranet site allows you, the McMaster student, to view and change your personalized University information.
  • Proxy Server
    McMaster Proxy Service permits access to off-campus sites from a system that is otherwise blocked from external access and is used in exceptional circumstances where MacConnect is not possible.
  • Software Depot
    The UTS Software Depot is a repository of software available to McMaster employees and students. Each software package is governed by copyright and licensing restrictions.
  • Student Health Services
  • Virtual Private Network (VPN)
    VPN is a network that uses a public network to transfer information using secure methods
  • WebCT
    WebCT is a web-based course management system. [Contact]
  • Wireless
    Wireless Network access is available in common areas across campus. When you're not near a port that you can use, areas with wireless access let you work, check your mail, or look for information online, all from your own laptop.

McMaster is strengthening its password system and all MAC ID passwords established before February 19, 2013 must be changed.
