Clearing Saved MAC ID Password Guide
To reduce the probability of a saved password locking out your MAC ID account, remove saved MAC ID password from applications prior to changing your MAC ID password.
Below are a few applications where a MAC ID password may be saved.
If your password is saved in the email client on your computer at work and or at home, set the email client not to remember your password.
If you access UnivMail via a web browser and have it set to remember your password, clear your saved passwords from the browser.
- Clearing stored passwords in Mozilla Firefox.
- Clearing stored passwords in Internet Explorer.
- Clearing the password in Chrome

Network Drive Mapping for Office Server Shares
If drives are manually mapped to access the Office Server Shares they will need to be disconnected and reconnected after the MAC ID password is changes
