Alumni & Retiree MAC ID

Picture of Trees

MAC ID is a unique, common identifier enabling single sign-on for a number of McMaster systems and applications.

MAC ID was previously known as AP1, MacConnect, proxy or modem pool ID. If you do not have a MAC ID, you need to submit a request form. (Please note: Your MAC ID is not your employee number)

Upon graduation McMaster graduates continue to be able to use their expired Mac ID which allows alumni to have access to systems such as Oscar and Mugsi. If they are unable to login with their MAC ID, they can call the Registrar's office and have the MAC ID reinstated. The McMaster Alumni Association offers a free email forwarding service to all graduates and information about this service can be found at http://www.mcmaster.ca/ua/alumni/networking_email_forwarding.html

Alumni may choose to retain their McMaster e-mail account as their primary email account. Please note this service has an annual fee. Please fill out this application form to request the McMaster e-mail account:

All retirees have their Mac IDs for life. The Mac ID allows retirees accessing some of the eligible services. A retiring employee may choose to elect to keep his/her McMaster e-mail account. In order to retain the McMaster e-mail account retiring employees are requested to fill out the form below, get HR’s confirmation and forward it to UTS.
