Software Licensing

Overview

McMaster is able to provide software programs at no cost for the university community. Microsoft Office 365 is available for all faculty, staff and students. Please select one of the options below for Log in and instructions.

Please note: eligibility for some products may be restricted based on your affiliation with the university (e.g. student, staff, or faculty). In most cases license agreements are for McMaster owned assets unless otherwise stated.

Software Expectations

By using a software license, you are accepting the right to use the software for as long as you remain eligible. You do not own the software and cannot redistribute it to others.

  1. Once software has been installed on your computer, it will count toward your allotment of installations. Thus, compatibility between your computer and the software should be thoroughly researched before a purchase is made.
  2. Students are responsible for supporting their personal use of this software. McMaster is pleased to provide Office 365 and additional Microsoft products to students; however, the University does not provide support on the installation or use of this software on personal devices. Students are responsible for how they use it.

Employees should contact their IT support for further assistance with software licences.
