Pc-Pine: How to manage disk space usage on UnivMail

Moving email messages from UnivMail to your local computer

Step 1 (Setup Local Folders if you have none)

1. Open Pc-Pine

Press S for Setup

3. Press A

4. At  Nickname enter Local Folders

At Path enter C:\Documents and Settings\Your name\mail

Your name is the username used to logon to the computer.

Press ^X

5. Press Y to save the changes

6. Press L to view your folder list.

Select Local Folders

7. Press A to Add

Step 2 (Create local folder and or directory)
1.    Open Pc-Pine

Press L for Folder List

Select Local Folders

 

2. To create a folder
Enter Folder name and press Enter to Accept

3. To create a Directory
1.    Press ^X to Create Directory

2.   Enter Directory name to add and press Enter to Accept

3.  Press < to exit Folder List

4.   Press < to exit the Collection List

Step 3 (Move email messages from UnivMail to the local folders)

1.    On the Main Menu press L to view the Folder List

Go to the folder with messages you wish to save on your local computer.

 

2.   Select the message and press S to Save.

To select multiple messages
(This feature is available if you have Enable-Aggregate-Command-Set  checked)

Press O for Other CMDS

Press ; for Select (Use the appropriate criteria for selection)

Press Enter to Accept

Press A to Apply to all selected messages.

Press S to Save

3.    Press ^N until it shows <Local Folders>

Press ^T  to view To Fldrs

4.   Press S to Select folder

5.    Press Enter to Accept

6.   Message will be copied into the local folder and removed from UnivMail.

Press M to return to the Main Menu or G to select a folder.

7.   When you Quit Pc-Pine, press Y to Expunge deleted messages.
