Install and configure Microsoft Backup utility for Outlook. Using a browser like Internet Explorer click here to install the MS Backup utility for Outlook. Follow the instructions carefully. Click on Continue
Click on Download
Click on Run
Click on Run
Click on Next
Read the Licence Agreement and if you accept select I accept the License Agreement and click on Next. Note: you must agree to continue.
Click on Next to complete the installation.
Configuring Microsoft Outlook Backup utility Step 1 Click on File in the menu bar and select Backup.
Click on Options
Place a check mark beside Personal Folders and click on OK. The default location for Outlook Backup.pst is C:\Documents and Settings\”Your name”\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\. Your name is the username used to logon to the computer. You may receive the message below. Click on OK Close Outlook. Outlook will automatically backup when Outlook is closed.
Step 2 Click on File in the menu bar and select Backup.
Click on Open Backup
Select Outlook backup.pst and click on Open.
Click on OK
To rename the Personal Folder select Properties for “Personal Folders”.
Click on Advanced
Modify the Name as required. Example Backup of Personal Folders Click on OK
Closing your Outlook Backup file Select the folder Backup of Personal File and right click. Select Close “Back up of Personal Folders”
